There is good news for wireless broadband providers in North America, Unlicensed frequencies at 5.4 GHz are now available for high-speed commercial use. Because commercial traffic will be sharing the frequencies with existing radar systems - such as military and weather radar operating on Unlicensed National Information Infrastructure (U-NII) channels - there are potential spectrum conflicts.
